zwei Provinzialsynoden; vermutlich 1496 und 1511
Two provincial synods were held, probably in these years, to discuss the founding of a university in Dublin. Nothing is known of the first one, but the second proposed that the lecturers should be paid by a levy on the dioceses of the province. Dublin would pay £10, Ossory and Ferns £5 each and Leighlin and Kildare 5 marks (£3 6/8) apiece, for a total of £26 13/4. No further action was taken at the time and the university was not founded until 1592.
