A symposium on the history of councils, organised by Evangelos Chrysos of the University of Ioannina, took place in the Greek city of Thessaloniki. Professors from Germany, France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the USA participated.

Reisensburg, 6th July 1972

Symposium on the History of Councils

On 6th July 1972, numerous scholars from Germany and abroad met at Reisensburg near Günzburg under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Walter Brandmüller (University of Augsburg) to launch the publication series "Konziliengeschichte" (here is a report on the conference by Ms. Hedy Wellano of the Augsburger Allgemeine [with thanks to the newspaper's archive]).
